What is our main task?

The Master Plan is the most important document for the spatial development of the Metropolitan Municipality. It is made according to the requirements of the Territorial Planning Law, but is approved at the local and national level under the Law on the Organization and Development of the Sofia Municipality.

The current Master Plan was approved in 2007 and has been upgraded and supplemented in terms of the green system and transport with the 2009 amendment and the 2014 Third Metrodiameter route, effective from 2017.
